Finncon, part 2

Today my visit to the con was a short one. I listened to Charles Vess' Guest of Honor speech and after that went to his signing and did some shopping - no books! I bought an Official P-Fleet Coffee Mug from the Star Wreck guys and a handmade bracelet from another booth. Then my headache got worse - even the headache pill I got from [livejournal.com profile] elfbiter (thanks!) didn't drive it away completely. The crowds and the heat (it's +25-30C right now) felt unbearable so I decided to leave.

Finncon

I spent the day at Finncon/Animecon 2008. There were loads of people there! I met [livejournal.com profile] chirel, [livejournal.com profile] sammaltassu, [livejournal.com profile] elfbiter, Kemppu, [livejournal.com profile] vierran45 (she was wearing a name tag, so recognizing her wasn't too difficult ;-)) and also bumped into an ex-workmate I haven't seen in a while. Amazingly enough, I bought only one book. The book in question: Valo (Light) by M. John Harrison (he's one of the Guests of Honor this year). He was signing books just when I was at the book booth, so of course I took the opportunity and joined the queue to get my book signed. :-)
